I published Edible and Medicinal Wild Plants of Britain and Ireland on 4th December 2019.

It was #1 Amazon bestseller in numerous categories every day for three years.

It isn’t that hard to achieve Amazon bestseller status.

You just have to think outside the box.

Get savvy with marketing.

Be prepared to spend some cash to reach your audience.

I just received an email from Seth Godin.

Today he launched the Writing in Community workshop.

It’s about committing to a daily 15-minute writing practice over 184 days and then publish the finished result as a Kindle.

All for $365 or $195 if you have attended one of his other workshops.

I really like Seth’s work.

Really like it.

His ideas have radically helped my own business.

But this is crazy.

The act of utter subservience.

After reviewing the offer I wonder whatever happened to self-direction and self discipline.

Do. The. Work.

As every writer in history knows.

You just write.

No whining.

No wimping out.

No excuses.

Just write.

Every day.

Write on the bus.

Write at home.

Write on scraps of paper.

Use a pencil.

To hell with perfection.

Just get that draft-zero done.

Writing is only the beginning.

Publishing a Kindle is as easy as clicking a few buttons.

The real work.

If you actually want your work to have an impact in the world.

Change the culture.

Is marketing.

How do you market you book?

Without this bit of the puzzle.

You’re stuffed.

Dead in the water.

Thank God I figured the marketing aspect of writing and self-publishing out.

Without it you’re just writing for yourself.

Let me show you how I do it.
